Robynn Coauette’s first job fresh out of college was with RiverView Health’s Health Information Management Department. Forty-three years later, and after some department/position changes, she’s still with the organization, continuing to make a difference in the lives of patients and coworkers, so much so that she was recently named the Employee of the Month (EOM) of August.

Over her four-plus decades with RiverView, Robynn has had the opportunity to serve as the Quality Coordinator, Compliance Officer/Risk Manager, Risk Manager, and now as the Patient Relations/Quality Analyst.

“I am fortunate, as RiverView has been rewarding to me in advancing my profession and fulfilling my professional goals,’’ she shared.

A Crookston native, Robynn and her husband Tim reside in Crookston and have two adult sons: Zac and his wife Jen live in Plymouth, MN, and Jake lives in Kansas City, KS. Robynn enjoys home projects and lake life, but ultimately, she loves spending time, road-tripping, and traveling with family and friends.

“I am very honored,’’ she stated about receiving the EOM honor. “Through my many years at RiverView, I have witnessed many changes, and not always easy changes. I see change as growth, and with this, I have always believed in RiverView and our staff. Most importantly, we continue to serve our patients, and we should never lose sight of this!’’

The following are a few comments made in Robynn’s honor: Robynn enters work with a smile on her face and makes a comfortable environment for all. Robynn is not afraid to fight for our patients and team members. She actively seeks out additional tasks and ways she can help. She is reliable and forms relationships with coworkers that makes them feel seen. During rounding I have heard from team members that when Robynn takes complaints, she is so good with the patient, she makes them feel heard and she follows up on what she says. She will help them get their medications, schedule appointments, manage up other providers to keep business at RiverView, and shows them she cares.

Robynn is professional and fun. She is a dream of a team member. Robynn is the ultimate patient advocate. She always, without fail, treats patients how she would want herself or her family treated. She works very hard to facilitate resolution of patient concerns as prompt as possible in order to recapture the trust of the patient. Robynn always follows through on what she says she will do, and the work she completes is top notch. Robynn is an example for others in communication, organization, respect, and work ethic. Robynn consistently displays excellent teamwork, volunteers to assist others when they are struggling, and lifts others up with her positive attitude. Robynn is a beam of sunshine in our department. I often hear her speaking gently on the phone with patients. She is empathetic and kind, and puts in a lot of hard work to make sure patients are taken care of and are treated with the utmost respect. She is always welcoming and makes an effort to grow closer to everyone on the team.
