Sleep Center

Do you find yourself spending more time in bed, but sleeping less? What seems so simple is often times much more complex than what most people realize, and it's not the length of time spent in bed that counts—it's the quality of sleep that's important.

Sleep is often a barometer of your overall health. In many cases, people in good health tend to sleep well, whereas repeated sleeping problems may indicate an underlying medical or mental health problem, be it minor or serious. Sleeping well is essential to your physical health and emotional well-being. Unfortunately, even minimal sleep loss can take a toll on your mood, energy, efficiency and ability to handle stress. Ignoring sleep problems and disorders can lead to poor health, accidents, impaired job performance and relationship stress. If you want to feel your best, stay healthy and perform up to your potential, sleep is a necessity, not a luxury.

The RiverView Health Sleep Center is a full-service facility offering an experienced and systemic approach to the diagnosis and treatment of sleep-wake disorders that affect millions of Americans every day.

We offer comprehensive, state-of-the-art testing, along with a follow-up consultation with our medical director, Dr. Arveity Setty.

Our board-registered polysomnographic technologists not only perform sleep studies, but also MSLTs (multiple sleep latency tests) and MWTs (maintenance of wakefulness tests).

With sleep studies being the most common test, we can diagnose sleep apnea, insomnia and restless legs syndrome, just to name a few.

An MSLT is done when there is a suspicion of narcolepsy. And an MWT is usually performed on airline pilots, heavy equipment operators and truck drivers, who may be a hazard to others if they are unable to remain awake while on the job.
