Insurance

Full-time permanent employees are eligible for health and dental insurances and a flexible spending account beginning the first of the month following 30 days of continuous employment.

Retirement savings

RiverView provides an employee group retirement savings plan (403(b)) through American United Life Insurance Company (AUL) for all eligible employees—which is within the Employment Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) Federal and State requirements as a Supplemental benefit—to provide employees with a source of income after they retire.

To be eligible for RiverView contributions, an employee must be 21 years old and have one year of continuous employment working a minimum of 1,000 hours for that year. An employee can start making voluntary contributions to the plan on their date of hire as long as they are 21. Employees are enrolled for RiverView contributions on January 1, April 1, July 1 or October 1 of the year following completion of the eligibility requirements. Employees can make bi-weekly voluntary contributions to their account through payroll deductions. The maximum amount an employee may contribute annually is the amount allowed by federal regulations and this amount is indexed. Employees who are 50 years old or older have a catch-up provision available to them, and this amount is also indexed. Employees do not have to be enrolled in the plan to do this. When employees that are enrolled in the plan contribute a percentage of their income each pay period to the plan, RiverView will match the amount up to 5.5 percent. RiverView will make bi-weekly deposits to the plan of the employee's voluntary contributions and RiverView's matching deposits will begin once the employee reaches the yearly hours worked requirement of 1,000 hours.
