Today, Nov. 16, is National Rural Health Day!
Everyone should have access to affordable, quality health care regardless of where they call home. RiverView Health is proud to offer that care to our friends and families in this rural area, whether it’s National Rural Health Day or any other day of the year.
Over 61 million people – nearly one in five Americans – call a rural area home. National Rural Health Day is an opportunity to “Celebrate the Power of Rural” by honoring the selfless, community-minded, and determined spirit that prevails in rural America.
Since 2011, the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health has set aside the third Thursday of November to honor the incredible efforts of rural healthcare providers, communities, organizations, the 50 State Offices of Rural Health (in Minnesota, it is the Office of Rural Health and Primary Care), and other stakeholders dedicated to addressing the unique healthcare needs of rural America.
Thank you to everyone whose work and contributions positively impact the vast and varied healthcare needs of people and families living, working, and raising their families in rural America.
