Caitlyn Fussy, OTD, OTR/L, CLT

Hometown: Little Falls, MN
Education: University of North Dakota, Grand Forks
Practice location(s): Crookston and East Grand Forks
Areas of focus for practice: Pediatrics, lymphedema, adult neuro and hands
Work experience: I have 9 months of pediatric experience and I’ve been with RiverView for 4 months. Why did you choose to go into your field? I choose to be an OT due to my own experiences and my family’s experiences with going to an occupational therapist. These experiences made me realize how broad the OT scope of practice is, and the different things we can do to help patients live their life to the fullest potential and be as self-sufficient as possible.
What do you enjoy most about your profession? I enjoy getting to know my patients the most, with being a part of their OT journey and seeing them succeed in their goals.
What do you look forward to in your profession? I look forward to having more opportunities to expand my skills and knowledge as an OT.
Allie Reiffenberger, OTD, OTR/L
Hometown: Ortonville, MN
Education: University of North Dakota, Grand Forks
Practice location(s): Crookston
Areas of focus for practice: Occupational Health (Office and Manufacturing Ergonomics, Functional Capacity Evaluations, Post Offer Employment Testing, and Functional Job Analysis); inpatient rehab; and outpatient rehab for adults.
Work experience: My occupational therapy background/experience is working with adults, from neurological conditions to mental and behavioral health, substance use, and underserved and marginalized populations.
Why did you choose to go into your field? Occupational therapy drew me in because it celebrates individuality—I get to help people build lives that feel like their own.
What do you enjoy most about your profession? The people—both my colleagues and the patients I get to work with every day. I also love that occupational therapy keeps me on my toes; I’m constantly learning and being challenged to grow as a clinician.
What do you look forward to in your profession? I’m excited to grow my network and broaden the circle of people whose lives I can impact through occupational therapy.

Practice location(s): Crookston
Areas of focus for practice: I have a passion for women’s health and balance and mobility rehab. I also really enjoy working in pediatrics and helping kids reach their milestones.

I’ve done geriatrics, pediatrics, women’s health, vestibular rehab, home health, aquatics, and acute care rehab.
Why did you choose to go into your field? I shadowed a physical therapy department in high school and really liked the environment. I loved the relationship the therapists had with their patients and how hard they worked to getting them to feeling and moving better.
