Pam Stainbrook Reflects on Three Decades with RiverView
Pam Stainbrook, HUC/CNA on the Inpatient Unit/Diagnostic Imaging, has been celebrated many times over the years as a repeat Employee of the Month award recipient and the 2023 Employee of the Year. Her latest celebration is marking 30 years with the organization!
Born and raised in Crookston, Pam started her RiverView career as a CNA in the Care Center when there was a 100-bed census. Five years later, she joined Adult Day Services and worked in Activities, a position she lists as her favorite. Pam fondly remembers riding the bus to pick up clients in the community for a full day of services. Another program she found satisfying was a short-term Rehab program to get patients back up to speed so they could return home.
Next, she worked in Activities in Memory Care, where she enjoyed how every day was different. “I guess I loved working with the older generation and learned so much from the patients and my past coworkers.’’
In December 2011, she joined the Inpatient Unit in her current role, another position she enjoys. “It’s awesome to see how great our nurses and doctors are; they’re so caring and give great care.’’
A year ago, Pam also began working with Dr. Parikh and her team in Pain Management, helping room patients and transporting them to Same Day Surgery for recovery. Pam reports that Pain Management days are fast-paced and a great experience working with kind coworkers.
Overall, Pam shares that one of the reasons she loves her job is RiverView’s strong standards, which have remained the same over the years.
“Thanks so much, RiverView,’’ she concluded.
