Michelle Sonstelie is the Employee of the Month of May
Michelle Sonstelie has worked as a staff pharmacist at RiverView Health for just two years. In that time, she has made a significant impact on the workflow of the RiverView Pharmacy. She’s always quick to help anyone who needs it, from co-workers to patients. For these great attributes, Michelle has been recognized as the Employee of the Month (EOM) for May.
A native of Fosston, Michelle lives in Crookston with her husband and their two dogs. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends. During the summer, she can often be found enjoying the warm weather on a boat or gardening. In the winter, she enjoys traveling to warmer destinations. Throughout the year, Michelle enjoys attending country music concerts.
Of her EOM honor, she said: “I am incredibly grateful to be named Employee of the Month, although I wouldn’t be able to do my job without the help of our pharmacy staff! To me, this isn’t just a personal achievement—it’s a reflection of the great team I work with and the values we share: empathy, integrity, clear communication, and collaboration. This recognition motivates me even more to keep improving, stay patient-focused, and be someone my team and patients can always count on.’’
The following comments were given in Michelle’s honor: Michelle has been a wonderful fit since starting in the pharmacy department. She is eager to learn new things so that she can be as helpful as possible. She has ample initiative. As soon as she arrives, she is asking around to see how she can help everyone here. Where she can jump in and be most useful. Or what can she take off your plate to help with. She doesn't hesitate to jump up and see what work needs to be done. She often will help the pharmacy technicians by counting down the register or putting the daily order away. Whatever needs to be done, she will do it.
