Linda Nephew Marks Quarter of a Century with RiverView
Linda Nephew, RN, is familiar with the workings of RiverView Health. Not only has she held a variety of roles and worked in multiple departments, but she has also been with the organization for 25 years.
Linda started at RiverView Home Care and Hospice in 2000. From there, she was named manager of Adult Day Services, where she worked for seven years while continuing to work in Home Care. From 2020 to 2022, she worked in the Clinics Department as a COVID-19 and triage nurse. She was often credited for her gentle touch when testing potential COVID patients. Next, she transitioned to Procedures and Infusions while also serving as an RN float in the Clinic. For two of those years, she worked consistently with Gastroenterology, Urology, and Integrative Radiology Pain Management while also floating between other specialties, including Family Medicine and outreach clinics. Today she most consistently works with Dr. Parikh in Pain Management but continues to work throughout the Clinic.
According to Linda, the best aspect of working at RiverView for the past 25 years has been the camaraderie among nurses, providers, and professionals, all working together to deliver the best healthcare experience.
“We are a big family of professionals here,’’ she shared. “We care deeply about our patients. We treat each other with respect, most importantly our patients.’’
Another noteworthy highlight on her list is the new facility.
“The new Hospital and Clinic is one of the best changes compared to the old space. They can accommodate more patients and have room to add more specialties to serve our community. Patients comment all the time about what a lovely Hospital and Clinic we have here.’’
