Kelli Korynta Named December Employee of the Month

Hospital news | Tuesday, January 2, 2024

When your clients miss you while you’re on vacation, you know you’re doing something right. It turns out that Kelli Korynta, RiverView Home Care RN case manager, does a lot right, proven by her recent honor of being named the Employee of the Month of December.

Kelli has been with Home Care since July 2016.

“I love being a part of RiverView Home Care and making a difference in the lives of others,’’ she shared. “We have a great team!’’

Along with her husband, Ross, Kelli lives in her hometown of Fisher. The couple has two daughters, Kinley and Maddyn, and a son, Corban. Their dogs, Reggie and Rheyna, round out the family.

Along with her Home Care job, Kelli also coaches volleyball and spends a lot of time following her children’s activities, including volleyball, football, baseball, and basketball. In the summer, the family spends time at the lake and camping. In her free time, Kelli enjoys being with family and friends.

The following comments were made in Kelli’s honor: Every day Kelli brings a bit of sunshine into the lives of her clients, as well as her co-workers. She maintains a positive outlook and is always trying to see the best in everyone. Her bubbly personality is infectious. Kelli cares deeply about her clients and goes the extra mile to accommodate their needs. An example of this is when she freely adjusts her schedule to ensure they receive their visits.

Kelli’s clients know they can count on her, they trust her, and are at ease with what she does to help them in their daily lives. When Kelli takes time off or is pulled to another area to see clients, the clients miss her and are waiting for her to return. She’s passionate about the work she does and her clients can sense that.

Kelli is always professional, through and through. She endorses Home Care and RiverView to everyone she encounters but especially with nursing students. Kelli’s name is mentioned frequently by students as being a great educator, very personable, and they leave with a great impression of our organization. She’s supportive of our department and frequently can be heard saying “I’ll do whatever is best for... Or, I’ll do whatever I can to help.’’

She’s served on committees and likes to be involved and do her part in making a difference. When changes need to be implemented she’s open to trying things but also is willing to give constructive feedback, always in a respectful manner.

Kelli has a rock-solid passion for the work she does. I believe that to her it’s not “work”, it’s a daily desire to have a positive impact on the individuals she encounters.

"It was a privilege to have Sen. Mark Johnson joining us while we honored Kelli as Employee of the Month,'' stated Gladys Bakken, Home Care director. "Following the presentation, Mark took time to listen to the challenges and concerns currently affecting our Home Care world. It was great to have that face-to-face time to discuss these issues with him."
