Karin Danforth’s Kindness, Patience Earn her EPEC Award
Patient Access representatives work with patients of all abilities and temperaments. Recently, Karin Danforth, Patient Access representative in the Crookston Clinic, helped a patient with extra needs with grace and patience. For her exceptional service, she was honored with the Exceptional People Exceptional Care award.

I wanted to reach out to you to let you know how amazing Karin Danforth handled a patient. The patient has special needs and she was helping him make an appointment. Not only was Karin patient with him, she recognized he would need things repeated multiple times. I know how busy it is in the call center, but Karin only showed him respect, like he was her only call. Because of his extra needs, she repeated the
information at least four times. Karin never showed a sign of frustration, only professionalism. She treated him with great dignity and kindness. Words cannot explain how much that meant to him and me. Every time I see her interact with patients, she does everything she can to make them feel comfortable, heard, and valued. Karin is an exceptional employee!
