Dr. Brett Vibeto Receives Exceptional Care Award for Lifesaving Procedure
Dr. Brett Vibeto doesn’t wear a cape, but he has been recognized as a hero for saving a patient’s life.
The general surgeon was recently on the receiving end of a surprise visit from RiverView's Senior Leadership Team and co-workers who presented him with an EPEC (Exceptional People Exceptional Care) award.
The award was given based on feedback from an HCAHPS (Hospital Consumer Assessment of Healthcare Providers and Systems) survey, in which the patient said, “Dr. Vibeto saved my life. I’m very fortunate to have him in my corner. He found my cancer, directed me to a highly skilled surgeon, and reversed my ileostomy. He’s my hero.”
