Cara Hendrickson is the Employee of the Month of March

Hospital news | Tuesday, April 23, 2024

Cara Hendrickson, executive assistant in Administration, has some celebrating to do; she was just named the Employee of the Month, and soon she’ll hit her 10-year milestone anniversary with RiverView.

“Looking back over the past almost ten years, I have learned and grown as an individual, both professionally and personally,” she shared. “Working daily alongside people who are like family brings such joy and peace to my life. Because of that, I love coming to work, and I try to bring this light into others’ days. One of my favorite sayings is, ‘Be the change that you wish to see in the world,’ by Mahatma Gandhi. I try to bring that forth in all my interactions with others.

“I am very grateful and humbled to be recognized as March Employee of the Month.”

A South Dakota native, Cara moved to Argyle in 1978, moved to Wisconsin for a few years, and then moved back to Minnesota to be nearer to family after her children were born. She and her husband, Mark, will celebrate 35 years of marriage in August. They live in Argyle with their dog, Shale. The couple has two children, son Daulton, 31, and daughter Taylor, 29, who reside in South Minneapolis.

In her free time, Cara loves cooking, baking, reading, and spending time outside “enjoying God’s gifts.” Camping and hiking are activities the entire Hendrickson family enjoys, as well as listening to and/or watching the Minnesota Twins. Besides attending many games, the Hendricksons also experienced Spring Training in 2023. “I developed this interest with my Dad and grandfather, so continuing to do this brings those blessed memories back.”
