Adelle Christianson is busy at RiverView Health as the Operating Room/Same Day Surgery coordinator. Yet, she always finds time to help others and foster relationships to ensure a positive and supportive environment for team members and patients. For all the ways she goes above and beyond in her everyday duties, Adelle has been named RiverView’s July Employee of the Month.

A Goodridge, MN, native, Adelle has been with RiverView’s surgery department for nine years. She and her husband Tyler are raising their three boys, Jack, Gus, and Bjorn, in Mentor. Besides listing her boys as her biggest interest, Adelle enjoys gardening, lake activities in the summer, and skiing in the winter.

She said of her Employee of the Month recognition: “I am so honored to be recognized for this and have very much enjoyed working at RiverView. My co-workers are the real reason I was able to get this nomination. They are all so good at what they do, and they make it easy for me to do my job well.’’

The following comments were taken from nominations in Adelle’s honor: Adelle takes initiative to help where needed. She anticipates where we are tight and does what she can to help out, most recently post-oping myelogram patients. She loves to train new staff and providers making them feel right at home.

Adelle goes above and beyond her role as the Surgery Coordinator. She demonstrates outstanding organization skills on a daily basis, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. She always stays one step ahead, anticipating the needs and addressing them proactively. Adelle excels in communication and collaboration, both within our team and with internal and external staff and providers.

Adelle is a remarkable employee, a huge asset to our organization and is so deserving of the Employee of the Month award and recognition. An outstanding individual that has benefited patients, Supply Chain and Surgical Services. Adelle is a go-to individual for inventory and supply related direction...She is an extraordinary service to internal and/or external customers. Adelle’s inter-department customer service skills are exemplary. She is one of the friendliest people that I know, and she always arrives with a smile on her face and a happy greeting to team members. Although Adelle is responsible for her own daily tasks, she can often be found assisting other coworkers with their tasks.

Adelle consistently finds ways to help her co-workers and the other departments. Her willingness to assist others and her commitment to mentoring and role model employees is unequaled.
