Memory Care

RiverView Memory Care is a 24-bed, skilled nursing facility that specializes in dementia care in Crookston.

At RiverView Memory Care we offer a locked facility, conveniently located as part of RiverView Health with internal access to hospital, clinic, radiology, laboratory, ER, therapy/rehab and pharmacy services.

We promote the independence of our residents to maintain their highest level of functioning.

Age in place

At RiverView Memory Care we pride ourselves on caring for the entire progression of dementia from diagnoses through end stage.

Homelike, family environment

RiverView Memory Care offers person-centered care. We take an extensive social history upon admission for sleep and wake times, bathing, and meal times. We then provide individualized care plans based on nursing assessments, resident need and past life preferences to establish and maintain a consistent routine.

Our private room settings offer residents the ability to personalize their living environment. Visiting areas are also available for family.

Consistent staffing

Our friendly staff understands the needs of those they serve. Their familiar faces are a staple of our Memory Care family, decreasing resident anxiety.

Activities

RiverView Memory Care is a community. We focus on the activities residents enjoyed before their days at Memory Care and we implement them into our own community events.

  • From cooking and baking activities to spending time outside in the secure courtyard, we offer a wide variety of fun daily activities.
  • If your loved one enjoys being pampered, we have a beauty shop or arrangements can be made with a personal beautician.
  • We also offer nondenominational religious services each week, as well as Catholic Communion.
  • Resident Council is held every month, with Family Council every other month. Memory Care updates and helpful speakers are part of the council meetings.
