We're celebrating our heroic leaders on National Doctor’s Day today!

Tuesday, March 30, 2021
The COVID-19 pandemic has made the past year challenging for everyone. Fortunately, RiverView Health’s exceptional team of physicians has led patients through the pandemic in heroic fashion. While they should be celebrated every day for their courage and selflessness, we especially want to celebrate them today, March 30, on National Doctor’s Day.
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold and upend American life, RiverView’s providers lead the way in caring for our families and community.
National Doctor’s Day started on March 30, 1933 in Winder, Georgia. Eudora Brown Almond, wife of Dr. Charles B. Almond, decided to set aside a day to honor physicians. On March 30, 1958, a resolution commemorating Doctor’s Day was adopted by the United States House of Representatives. In 1990, President George Bush signed S.J. RES. #366 (which became Public Law 101-473) designating March 30 as "National Doctor’s Day."
