RiverView Foundation Offers Free Estate Planning Seminar June 25th

If estate planning is on your mind but you do not know where to start, you are not alone. Seventy percent of adult Americans do not have an estate plan. Fortunately, the RiverView Foundation has the resources and capacity to help.
The RiverView Foundation is once again offering a free estate planning seminar to teach participants tax saving strategies to help maximize the benefits of giving while maintaining their lifestyles.
The community education session will be held on Tuesday, June 25th at 6:30 pm, North Shore Room, Crookston Inn and Convention Center. Refreshments will be served.
Bill Moritz, JD, of Moritz and Associates, a faith and value centered estate law firm, will give the presentation, “Five Strategies to a More Generous Life’’. Moritz has been assisting Crookston families and regional trusted advisors since 2010 under a grant program from Dakota Medical Foundation. He will share his holistic approach to estate planning, successfully helping families plan for their futures and caring for their loved ones focused on their personal faith, values, goals and passions.
Moritz practices law in Colorado Springs, specializing in estate planning, non-profit organizations and business law. He is a principal in Charitable Catalyst, LLC, which provides administrative services to foundations and charitable organizations.
“There are no hidden agendas in this program,’’ Moritz shared. “We are not selling any financial or other products. We are committed to educating and offering assistance. With this program we have the capacity to help with drafting a plan that can be shared with the participant’s trusted advisors, which could include lawyers, accountants, brokers or insurance agents.’’
An area resident shared the following regarding working with Moritz: “Mr. Moritz’s expertise helped me prepare for my estate meeting with our attorney. I appreciate his ability to discuss what was important to me and develop a plan that will provide funds to my heirs, as well as the various charities I want to touch. My relationship with Bill grew into a trusted, meaningful friendship and when Bill travels to our community, I look forward to reconnecting. “
