Dr. Erik Kanten
Family Practice - including OB

The total "family" man is how one might describe Dr. Erik Kanten. He not only is a family practice physician, he also delivers babies, provides pediatric care, and has four children of his own. He and his wife Judie, herself a nurse, have lived in Crookston since 1988. He attended undergraduate school at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Minnesota and medical school at the University of Minnesota. He attended the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks for his residency in family practice and became board certified in family practice in July of 1988. His personal hobbies are woodworking and flying airplanes.

His practice at RiverView includes obstetrics, pediatrics and care of adults of all ages. He sees patients not only in the clinic in Crookston, but also spends time in the RiverView sites in Fertile and Red Lake Falls.
