  1. Job Analysis: comprehensive analysis of a specific job for the purposes of obtaining information regarding the physical demands of the job. Information obtained includes the following:
        • Weights of items frequently handled
        • repetitions
        • forces
        • distances
        • work positions & postures
        • flexibility requirements
        • duration of physical activities
        • recommendations

      • Information gained is helpful for medical providers when determining if the job is safe for an injured person to return to
      • Job analysis reports are used for Job Match comparisons
      • Gives helpful suggestions regarding improving overall safety on the job
      • Used as the foundation of all occupational health consulting (i.e. development of prework screens, ergonomic programs, educational programs, etc.)
      • Copy of report provided to employer and other authorized parties
  2. Employee Education: variety of in-services provided to employer and/or employees regarding basic educational information on specified topic/s
    • Information provided on the following topics:
      • back school (basic anatomy, body mechanics, etc.)
      • Cumulative Trauma School (carpal tunnel, tendonitis, sprains, etc)
      • ergonomics (office, tools, industrial settings, etc)
    • Classes stress the importance of personal responsibility and prevention
    • Covers basic anatomy and provides simple, effective exercises
  3. Industrial Stretch & Education Classes: Exercises targeted specifically to stretch or relax the muscles used on a given job. Stretches are specific to the type of the work done.
  4. Workstation Assessments: upon request of the employer. As workers voice complaints of pain or injury, they and/or their work is assessed to determine any changes that may be made to improve the situation (done on-site)
  5. Ergonomic Assessments: on-site consulting service done by professionals that understand the human body. Ergonomics is the science of the relationship between the worker and their work. Ergonomic assessments analyzes the ergonomic factors of a job, that may include heights, distances, arrangement, spacial relations, lighting, and many other issues. They may be done in offices, production sites, assembly areas, manufacturing plants, or wherever else human factors play into the performance of a job. Reports are provided with suggestions for improving ergonomic risks or hazards. May include follow up educational in-services, targeted to the specific needs of the company and it's workers.
