Choosing your doctor is a big decision. We are pleased to offer very qualified and experienced physicians. As family practitioners, they can guide you through pregnancy and birth, and continue on to care for your newborn and your family throughout life if you choose.

Dr. Rolf Hanson has been a mainstay of the medical community since coming to Crookston in 1979. He received his undergraduate degree from Luther College Decorah, Iowa, and is a graduate of the University of Minnesota medical school in Minneapolis. He performed his internship and residency in Chicago. Dr. Hanson sees patients at Altru Clinic.

Dr. Erik Kanten has been practicing medicine in Crookston since 1988. He attended undergraduate school at Augsburg College and the University of Minnesota medical school both in Minneapolis. His residency in family practice was through the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. Dr. Kanten sees patients at RiverView Clinic in Crookston, Fertile, and Red Lake Falls (link to clinic page).

Dr. Debra Bell has practiced family medicine in Crookston and in the states of California and Vermont. She is a graduate of Brown University and completed medical school at the University of California at San Francisco School of Medicine. She has studied extensively in the areas of herbology, homeopathy and nutritional medicine.  Dr. Bell sees patients at the RiverView Family Practice and Integrative Medicine Center.
