In recognition of September as National Recovery Month, RiverView Recovery Center – in collaboration with the Glenmore Foundation – invites the public to free comedy events by David Pendleton, a ventriloquist who offers a fun show for the entire family.

The events are free and open to the public of all ages, with a free-will donation taken during the performance to go to the Glenmore Foundation to fund future quality events in the region.

The public is invited to the following fun-filled events:

• Sunday, Sept. 23rd: Augustana Lutheran Church, 520 University Avenue, Grand Forks; 6 PM free soup supper, 7 PM presentation; Augustana Lutheran Church is co-sponsoring this event.

• Monday, Sept. 24th: Kiehl Auditorium, University of Minnesota Crookston, 2900 University Ave., Crookston; 7 PM

The events are part of National Recovery Month which is held each September. The month-long recognition is meant to spread the positive message that chemical dependency treatment is effective and people can and do recover.
