Dr. Pillai received his medical degree from Kilpauk Medical College in Madras, India in 1993. He then completed an internship at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. Dr. Pillai completed his family practice residency in November 2003 at the Jackson Park Hospital in Chicago, IL.

Dr. Pillai is a member of the active medical Staff at Riverview Health. He will practice at the Altru Clinics in Crookston and Red Lake Falls.
