As a native of the East Coast who has practiced medicine on both coasts, Dr. Debra Bell comes to the Midwest with a wealth of experience in women's health and alternative therapies. She has found her niche by combining a medical approach with alternative therapies such as homeopathy and herbal medicine. Prior to moving to Crookston, she was in practice in northern California where her patients were primarily women and children, many of them dealing with health issues such PMS, candida, chronic fatigue syndrome, fibromyalgia, etc. "I believe my strength is being able to offer my patients the option of integrating natural therapies with conventional medicine," said Dr. Bell.
She also prefers the natural approach for women during pregnancy and labor, saying she does not consider childbirth "a medical event. I think one of the things I do best is to provide a supportive birth experience that empowers the woman. I like being able to help patients through their pregnancy, be a part of bringing their baby into the world, and then take care of both mom and baby afterwards," she said.
