Dr. Edward Adams joined RiverView Orthopaedic Clinic a division of RiverView Health of Crookston in June of 2003. The clinic is currently comprised of orthopaedic surgeons Colin Fennell and David Rathbone. He will be practicing in the RiverView Orthopaedic Clinic in East Grand Forks, as well as seeing patients in other communities throughout the region. He will be on the active medical staff at RiverView Hospital and do both inpatient and outpatient surgery there. Dr. Adams is a native of Grand Forks and received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota (UND) in Grand forks in 1980. He received his medical degree from the UND School of Medicine in 1984. Dr. Adams completed his internship in general surgery and his orthopaedic residency at the University of Minnesota Hospitals in Minneapolis, Minnesota and participated in the Univerity's research fellowship program for a masters degree in orthopaedic surgery. He completed fellowship training in sports medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, where he also served as Assistant Professor at Emory University. He became board certified as an orthopaedic Surgeon in 1995. His previous professional experience includes his employment at the Orthopaedic Clinic in Grand Forks from 1991 to 1994, and his affiliation with Dakota Bone and Joint in Mitchell, South Dakota from 1994 to 1996. He has been a member of the medical staff at Altru Health Systems in Grand Forks from 1996 to present. He currently lives in Grand Forks and he and his wife, Nancy, have two sons.
