Child Birth Classes
Description: The first and second class will focus on the stages of labor, breathing and relaxation techniques during labor and delivery, coaching instructions and a tour of hospital rooms. The later classes will focus on baby care, breastfeeding and CPR. All area physicians encourage their obstetrics patients to attend all four classes, with a support coach, to better understand what to expect during pregnancy and childbirth and to help ease the fear of the unknown and make for a more enjoyable childbirth experience.
Date: six times a year and meet weekly for four sessions

Family and Friends CPR
Description: This two and one-half hour course contains basic information about what to do in life-threatening situations, and is designed for all ages to participate. The skills that will be taught in the program are those that can be used to save the life of a loved one, a friend or neighbor. The courses are being made available to the public at no charge, thanks to the grant funds made available by the Crookston American Legion Post 20.

Bone Builders
Description: RSVP Bone Builders is an exercise program that relies upon weight training to protect against fractures caused by osteoporosis by increasing muscular strength and bone density. Classes are taught by trained RSVP volunteer instructors and are held twice a week at various sites throughout the region. Classes are free to all participants. Benefits include increased bone density and muscle strength, improved balance, increased flexibility, increased energy and mobility, increased sense of well-being and socialization.
