RiverView Foundation, the fundraising arm of RiverView Health, hosted their sixth annual golf tournament on Monday, June 7th at Minakwa Golf Course in Crookston. The tournament raised over $20,000 in profits, which have been designated for the renovation of RiverView's Radiology Department to accommodate the installation of the new CT and MRI equipment.

The Anderson Beverage team, composed of Jodi Dragseth, Jaclyn Martin, Jenny Nelson, Mike Nelson, and Scott Sanders, won the tournament.

“As RiverView’s Foundation Director, I want to sincerely thank all the tournament sponsors, players and contributors for making the 2010 Golf Classic such a huge success,” said RiverView Foundation Director Kent Bruun.

This year’s tournament had five corporate sponsors: Alltel Business Solutions, Glen and Marlys Finkinbinder, Hanratty & Associates, Hugo’s, and New Horizon Foods. “These supporters played a major role in making the event a successful one for the Foundation and the community,” added Bruun.

Jason Tangquist won the men’s grand prize TaylorMade Burner Titanium Men’s Driver and Vicky Korynta won the women’s grand prize TaylorMade Burner Titanium driver, both donated by the Craig and Linda Morgan family.

Supplemental funds for this event were provided by the West Polk County Chapter of Thrivent Financial.

The seventh annual Golf Classic has been set for June 6, 2011.
