A Matter of Balance classes in EGF RiverView Health Rehab Services will be holding “A Matter of Balance’’ classes for anyone who has fallen in the past, has restricted activities because of falling concerns or is worried about falls. The classes will teach skills in improving balance, flexibility and strength.

“A Matter of Balance’’ is an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. Eight two-hour sessions will be led by certified coaches each Wednesday, April 6th through May 25th from 1 pm – 3 pm at the East Grand Forks Senior Center, 538 Rhinehart Drive SE, East Grand Forks.

The class is free, but class size is limited, so early registration is stressed. For more information, or to register, call 218-773-1390.

Auxiliary Sheet Sale The RiverView Auxiliary is hosting a Sheets Galore Sheet Sale on Thursday, May 5th from 8 AM to 5 PM in Heritage Hallway.  Many different colors and sizes of new bedding sheets will be for sale.  Proceeds from the sale help benefit the Auxiliary’s projects for the year.

First Aid Training Course

RiverView Health in Crookston will host an education course for individuals interested in basic first aid. The program, developed by the American Heart Association, is open to the general public. Participants in this First Aid Course will learn to provide first aid for acute injuries and sudden illnesses such as burns, bites, poisoning, and seizures. This course is excellent for day care providers, schools or individuals.

The four-hour class will be held from 6 pm to 10 pm in Meeting Room 4 at RiverView Health. The cost of the class, including the book and card, is $45. The American Heart Association is not responsible for any fees charged for this course.
