RiverView Recovery Event, Grand Forks

In recognition of September as National Recovery Month, RiverView Recovery Center – in collaboration with the Glenmore Foundation – invites the public to several presentations by speaker Rob Rowsell.

Rowsell will share his inspirational story of going from living on the streets, being addicted to crystal meth and crack cocaine, and leading a criminal lifestyle to becoming the successful businessman and author he is today.

The public is invited to the following free presentations:
  • Grand Forks:  Freedom Church, “Celebrate Recovery’’, 308 Demers Ave, Tuesday, Sept. 19, 6:30 PM
  • Thief River Falls: RiverView Recovery Center, 309 N. Labree Ave, Ste. 10, Wednesday, Sept. 20, 11:00 AM
  • Grand Forks: University of North Dakota, The Loading Dock, UND Sober Student Group “Been There Done It”, 2901 University Ave., Wednesday, Sept.  20, 6:30 PM
  • Crookston: University of Minnesota-Crookston, The Prairie Room, UMC ATOD and Counseling Dept., 2900 University Ave., Thursday, September 21, at 6:30 PM

The events are part of National Recovery Month which is held each September. The month-long recognition is meant to spread the positive message that chemical dependency treatment is effective and people can and do recover.
