Vaughn Thorfinnson

Vaughn Thorfinnson, former mayor and long time resident of Red Lake Falls, has been a board memeber since January of 1997. He has a bachelors of Arts degree in agricultural education and has a masters of Science degree in counseling and guidance from UND. In addition to jobs in county extension and education, he worked for many years as a vocational adjustment counselor in Northwestern Minnesota. He was very active in vocational rehabilitation state associations and helped establish Occupational Development Centers in the area. He currently represents Riverview on the advisory board of Hillcrest Nursing Home, a facility owned by Riverview in Red Lake Falls. Vaughn and his wife, Mildred, raised four children.
