Amy Broden is RiverView’s Employee of the Month for October

Amy Broden wears many hats at RiverView Clinic Red Lake Falls. On any given day, you may walk into the Clinic and find her at the reception desk, doing lab work or doing x-rays. She is a multi-talented, valued employee and a great example of doing what it takes to get the job done! For those reasons, and many more, Broden was recently named RiverView’s Employee of the Month (EOM) for October.

A native of Mentor, Broden graduated from Win-E-Mac High School in 2001 and earned her Radiologic Technologist degree from Northland in 2006. She joined RiverView in July of 2008. She and her husband Arick have been married for 13 years and have three children: Hailey, 13; and sons, Riley, 9, and Gunnar, 8. The family resides in Red Lake Falls. Broden loves watching her kids play sports. When she isn’t running them to or from practice or games, she enjoys spending time with family, camping, and kayaking.

Of her recent award she stated: “I am extremely honored to be named EOM! I was once told if you love what you do, you will never work a day in your life. That holds very true. I love working in our small outreach clinic. I get to work alongside a great group of people on a daily basis!’’

Below are just a few of the comments from nominations in Broden’s honor:

“Amy demonstrates many of the standards of Behaviors here at RiverView. Most specifically, Amy demonstrates teamwork, willingness tolerant new things, and job excellence. Amy currently takes on the daily role of patient access, lab, and x-ray. She completes all these tasks with a smile on her face, and it radiates to our clients. I truly feel that Amy does an excellent job setting the tone for a successful session by her flexibility, genuine excitement as she greets incoming clients, and knowledge of her job. Amy also demonstrates job excellence as she is the person who staff feels comfortable to go to whenever there is a question, knowing she has the answer or knows where toe find the answer, even when the question is outside her job description.’’ -Madeline Graff, Rehab Services

“Amy has been such a joy to work with. She is always willing to help with any task and has been very resourceful in the clinic. She offers to help even when she has not been asked. She is so approachable and welcomed me nicely when I began working at the Red lake Falls clinic...I appreciate her patience and willingness to contact families. My patients enjoy seeing her as well. Amy demonstrates each Standard of Behavior and is someone look up to in the workplace.’’ -Carly Hansen, Rehab Services

“Amy is never in a bad mood and deals with patients consistently...Her patience is amazing and she diffuses situations professionally. Amy offers, performs, and has pride in her duties without complaint...She is excellent at watching the schedule and calling elderly patients if not on time for their appointments (and as a welfare check) or other patients that need rescheduling and gets them on the schedule in a timely fashion to be seen that same day as
appropriate to make the therapist more efficient and productive. This is greatly appreciated. Amy is always pleasant about performing tasks as needed. Nothing is too big or too small. Amy is always willing.’’ -Rhonda Salentiny, Rehab Services.
